M&M&M in Milan & mangiare bene: Asso di Fiori

Mira, Merja, Marjo and Milano. A week ago I got some visitors from Finland. We spent a great weekend here in Milan; I´m especially glad for a few nice restaurants that we found. I definitely recommend Porta Genova -area when it comes to eating (I´m more or less always there...). We are all buone forchette , an Italian term that means you love good food.

On Friday evening we wanted to have an Italian dinner in some pleasant place. We ended up to
Asso di Fiori, on the Naviglio Grande. You find more information about the restaurant below this text. This traditional Italian restaurant is specialized in cheeses, more or less every dish contains some cheese. The northern Italian atmosphere was clearly present there, the place was full of wine bottles and other alpine stuff, such a lovely place! Mi sono completamente innamorata di quel ristorante molto carino! By the way there was a cow inside... so even kids will love the place for sure.

Suprisingly we all ordered a dish with cheese. I and Marjo drank some white wine, and Merja decided to take a small bottle of red wine.

Cheese filled ravioli with ficus sauce. Really delicous combination of salty & sweet.

Fried cheese "steak" served with cranberry sauce. An excellent choice for cheese lovers.

Oven baked cheese polenta with some rosmarin on the top. A heating dish, especially good on winter time.
